An Encounter with Nature Ch.1 Apollo

I sit on a frozen grassy hill mesmerized by a psychedelic Seattle sunrise.

The sky is a bold, dark, glowing blue.

Veins of pink and orange are creeping through it following any faint wisps of clouds they can reach.

This hill is my private island; a holdout in a sea of city lights.

The panoramic view stretches from distant mountains, over cities and hills, lakes and stadiums.

Picturesque homes overgrown by forest cover the hills and their lights reflect on the water.

Rays of light peek through clouds and mist to warn me of the coming power.

Fog swirls around me as I shift my focus to Apollo’s inevitable triumph.

I lay back with my hands behind my head and breath in the sweet morning air.

The sun, in a prolific display of power, emerges from behind rugged and glaciated mountains to burn off the morning fog.

Powerful surges of joy ripple through my body as the mist encircles me.

Slowly swirling, it lifts me into the air.

My gentle breathing is broken as a deep rush of energy fills my lungs.

My soul is in a state of peace I had once thought impossible.

This weightless existence is all I know.

A wave of heat flows over me and the day has come.
