
Mexican Garlic Bread
Ingredients
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tsp Coriander Seeds
- 1 tbsp Pumpkin Seeds
- 1 tsp Dried Oregano
- ⅛ tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 2 tbsp Garlic Powder
- ½ tsp Chipotle Powder
- Pinch Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 tsp Dried Chives
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- ½ cup Plant-base Butter room temperature
- 1 loaf Bread of Choice a long sourdough, French loaf, or baguette, etc.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425° F. Slice bread loaf in half.
- Grind cumin seeds, coriander seeds, pumpkin seeds, oregano, cinnamon, garlic powder, chipotle powder, and red pepper flakes in mortar and pestle or spice grinder to medium consistency.
- Mix together ground spices, chives, minced garlic, salt and pepper, and plant-based butter. Spread evenly over cut sides of bread.
- Bake for 5 minutes or until golden brown.

Wow, I could stop eating this bread. I made it on an ancient grains loaf. I really love the texture that the ground pumpkin seeds add to the “butter”.
